Day 6: Kangaroo Care

What a wonderful day. Robin held James outside of the terrarium for the first time! Patrick and Daddy came up the stairs to meet Robin in the NICU. When they got there they found her in a chair behind a curtain, shirt open and James being wrapped up for his field trip. Robin was in tears, Michael was weepy, and Patrick was watching Super Why on the iPhone. It was a remarkable moment.

Earlier Michael had the chance to visit James twice. He had a meeting at St. Peter's to discuss some cardiology EMS issues. He stopped in to spend 10 minutes with James on his way up to the ninth floor, and then got to spend a half hour with him prior to leaving. It was nice for Michael to be able to discuss the meeting with an objective sounding board. James is a very good listener.
