One more wire removed: James is now off the pulse oximeter. This was the probe attached to his foot which measured the amount of oxygen in his blood. At this point, any oxygen problems would show up as reduced respiration or heart rate, which are still being monitored.
He has been spitting up a bit lately, so he now gets rice cereal added to his NG feeds. The thickened liquid should help prevent reflux.
A second eye test still showed immature retinas; no problems detected.
Today he nursed 30, 6, and 38 cc at three feeds.
