Since yesterday, James's strict feeding regimen has been loosened in preparation for the free-for-all that will be his life at home. Rather than exactly 55 cc every 3 hours, he is eating as much as he wants, every 3 to 4 hours. No more weighing him before and after he nurses, no more struggling to keep him awake to finish the last drop in the bottle.
The past two days have been pretty erratic: he has nursed for as little as 20 minutes at a time and as long as 50 minutes, and ate anywhere from 30 cc to 70 cc from the bottle.
